Saipan Sports Fest 2011 March 9 - March 20
The Saipan Sports Fest provides educational seminars by the sport’s top pros, plus other challenging activities and all the fun you can handle in the week long event. See below for a schedule of events and an explanation of the activities which may be available.

Potential Activities
The following activities are frequently scheduled as part of sports fest. However, even if they are not scheduled, they may still be available. Everyone is welcome to join in any of the scheduled activites – some workshops require advance reservations as seating and/or space may sometimes be limited. Contact us to sign up, or if you have any questions. Please enter your activity of interest at the subject line!
All American Picnic
What better way to socialize with fellow competitors and new friends than with a good old fashion picnic fun! Various activities will include softball games, BBQ’ing, playing horseshoes, volleyball, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming and just simple, tropical-island style relaxation ---snoozing on the beach.
Forbidden Island Tour
Take a scenic hike to a secret swimming hole and see the breath taking views of one of Saipan’s best kept secrets.

Cancellations for Any Event must be received in writing by February 1, 2011.
There will be a $30 administration charge for refunds.

Saipan Hash House Harriers
A great way to explore the jungles of Saipan. Hashing is a popular activity held every Saturday afternoon. Hares (the people that set the trail and get a 10 minute head start) prepare a running trail through the boonies and Hounds (the people that follow the special trail markings) try and get to the On Home as quickly as possible.
Saipan XTERRA World Championship
The crown jewel of the XTERRA Race Series. Competitors of all levels are encouraged to try this challenging course which highlights Saipan’s lush jungles, Japanese caves and war relics from World War II.
Sports Clinics
Hear what the pro’s have to say about their training techniques, how they prepare for a race, and equipment preparation. These informative sessions are free.
Taga Awards Banquet
Costumes are a must for this unique beach side award banquet. Great food, music and lots of dancing are par for this fun party.
TagaKids Triathlon
After the big kids finish their race, the kids get a chance to show their stuff. With three different course routes, there is a distance for all ages.
Tagaman BBQ
Sunday afternoon at the beach. What better way to wind down a great week in Saipan than to have a snorkel, kayak or relax on a picturesque beach. The Triathlon Federation of Saipan sponsors this event.
Tagaman Carbo Party
Meet fellow competitors and stock up on the all important carbohydrates for the next days Tagaman Triathlon.
Tagaman Race Registration
All interested participants must register at the Pacific Islands Club lobby.
Tagaman Triathlon Race
A racers favorite! This well organized race gives competitors an opportunity to see the vast majority of Saipan. The 2K swim starts at the beautiful Pacifica Islands Club Saipan, with the 60K bike taking competitors all the way north to Bird Island. The 15K Run starts and Finishes at Micro Beach!
Tank 2 Tank Swims
Enjoy the famous tank 2 tank swim. This 1.3K swim uses World War II tanks as its buoy markers.
Tour De Saipan
This one stage recovery ride takes riders to all the historical sites on Saipan’s northern beaches. The 2-hour tour includes stops at Last Command Post, Bonzai Cliffs, The Grotto (for a once in a life time cave swim) and a scenic view of Bird Island.
XTERRA 5/10K Fun Run
Competitors meet at the Pavilion on the Beach at Micro Beach. The run course takes competitors through the marina and along the beachside path. You are sure to catch a famous Saipan Sunset while racing the course.
XTERRA Kid’s Bike Race
Kids of all ages will love this mini-race where little ones take center stage and show they can race just like grown-ups! Each participant receives a finisher's medal. (helmets and bikes not provided)
XTERRA Saipan Championship
Known by all familiar with the Series as the "Crown Jewel" of the XTERRA, Saipan offers a unique challenge that jump starts the season of adventure in the Northern Hemisphere.
XTERRA Sport Course
A shorter version of the Championship course. This course gives individuals an opportunity to their hand at multi-sport racing.
