Hafa Adai!  Welcome to the 2010 XTERRA Saipan Championship presented by Taga, Inc.

Transition Setup/Body-Marking:  Transition will open at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning to place your gear and bicycles.  Athletes check in and numbering will take place at the finish line starting at 5:00 a.m.  You must have identification to take your bike/gear out of the transition area, show your body marked number or run number or give your run number to a friend or family member to claim your bike for you.

USA Triathlon:  This Championship is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and all participants must either be current license holders or purchase a one-day license ($10).  You will not be given your participant packet without showing us your current USA TRI license and picture ID or purchasing a one day license at registration.  It's not that we don't trust you; we just don't trust you.

Results:  Results will be posted on the notice board in the finish area as soon as they are available.  Results will be posted to www.xterraplanet.com on race night.  You can pick up your personal results at the finish line.

The Tropical Saipan Sun:  Be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen.  Hydration is not optional.  Take plenty of fluids on the race course.  Do NOT skimp - its better to stop and take a drink than to suffer from dehydration and a trip to Saipan's Commonwealth Health Center.   Drink...Drink...Drink!

Special Functions / Notes:

XTERRA Sunset 5k/10k Trail Run/Walk (Friday, March 11) [Micro Beach]: 5k for family and friends; 10k for the serious trail runner.  All entrants will recieve a collectable T-shirt and awards to the top age groupers.  A portion of the proceeds benifit the MTEC.  Entry fee for the trail run is $20. Registration deadline is March 10, 2010.

Welcom Reception (Friday, March 11) [PIC]: Included in your registration (for the Championship and Sprort events) is a complimentary welcome reception at the pool.  Soft drink and beer are included and a no host bar will be available.  XTERRA Saipan wrist band required.  No exceptions.  Tickets for family and friends are $25.

Awards Banquet (Saturday, March 12) [PIC]: Included in your registration is our fabulous Awards Dinner on the private beach of PIC.  All you can eat buffet dinner and 2 drink tickets.  XTERRA Saipan wrist band required.  No exceptions.  Tickets for family and friends are $35.

One hour time limit on swim.

Runners not out of T2 at 4 hour mark will not be allowed to finish.
